I like The Matrix Trilogy, and I mean all three films as a collective whole. However, the first film is clearly way better than the other two both in style and substance.
This honest trailer was put together to show how the films should have been marketed, with all of the BS removed and the truth revealed.
I can’t say I agree with the whole thing, but it’s hard to argue against the suggestion that the story took a strange turn for the worse after the original The Matrix.
The second film actually contains lots of great scenes, though the CGI hasn’t aged well. The third film, yeah OK, that’s boring and is only worth watching for closure.
