American sports are strange. Baseball has the World Series, even though it’s mainly an American sport. And football has the Super Bowl, which seems to be as much about the commercial breaks as the game itself.
And then there’s the halftime show, with popular singers keeping the crowds entertained while the players get a rubdown. Only in America.
For the Super Bowl LIV halftime show, Shakira and JLo took to the stage. And they both sang a selection of their big hits, which younger people have probably never heard of.
This was a controversial halftime show, with some conservative types disliking the sexiness of the whole thing. But ordinary people enjoyed it for what it was.
