If he was still alive, Dr. Seuss would have been celebrating his 112th birthday today, March 2nd, 2016. The children’s author was born in 1904, but his books live onto this day.

Dr. Seuss was born Theodor Seuss Geisel, but changed his name after being caught drinking gin in his college dorm room. It stuck, and he kept using it throughout his career.

I was never exposed to Seuss as a kid growing up in the UK, but I have since come to appreciate his zany genius, with his books able to amuse me even as an adult.
