This year’s X Factor has got some big problems. Not only are the ratings down, with Strictly Come Dancing trouncing it on a Saturday night, the show is getting a lot of criticism.
First of all the judges are acting like a bunch of spoilt divas, particularly Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. They are arguing amongst themselves and completely overshadowing the contestants.
Then we have the seemingly constant attempts at headline grabbing publicity stunts. From Louis Walsh being called back to the show, to Sharon Osbourne threatening to walk, the British public have seen through it.
And lastly there are the obvious attempts to tug at our heartstrings, with lots of the contestants getting to the final stages of the competition purely based on sob stories.
We have Beverley Trotman with her last chance at fame, Daniel De Bourg with his estranged son, and Niki Evans with her late father having applied for the show on her behalf.
The stories are sad yes, but they seem to be overstating them in place of concentrating on the singing performances! Here Beverley has her say about the whole controversial issue.
