“The teen star scored a perfect 40 – and a standing ovation – on the US version of Dancing with the Stars after re-creating Dirty Dancing’s famous “lift”.
“And all she had to do to get it was overcome a stinky lake, floating poo and a partner who’d never done the dance move.
“The 17-year-old TV presenter and conservationist – daughter of the late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin – has proven a hit with American viewers. In an earlier episode, she moved the studio audience to tears with a tribute to her father.
“On Monday night, viewers watched Irwin and her dance partner Derek Hough perform their routine in a lake – just as Patrick Swayze’s Johnny and Jennifer Grey’s Baby did in the 1987 hit film.”
