The trial that is set to take up to two months has Florida waiting to find out what the verdict will be in the possible murder of toddler Caylee Anthony.
Casey’s lawyer, Defense Attorney Jose Baez, opened the proceedings with a wallop, claiming that Casey had been the victim of molestation by her father and her brother since childhood.
There was also the gently pointed out possibility that her brother Lee Anthony might have been the father of Caylee.
But the question that all this poses is what is the point? Is her lawyer going for a sympathy vote or simply a defense of Casey being mentally unstable?
