We’ve all heart of The Jungle Book, but my first creepy story of a child being raised by animals was a short about a girl being raised by wolves.
I think the collections were just called “Scary Stories” and came with very disturbing (for a child) illustrations.
It’s no great shock to find out that these sorts of things have actually happened to children.
I imagine their stories are utterly fascinating to psychologists and others.
It is fascinating how, having learned human behaviours, those skills can be so lost.
