“The European Court of Human Rights has ruled the case of a man suing a Belfast bakery for not writing the words “support gay marriage” on a case is inadmissible and has dismissed it.
“Institute of Civil Society Executive Director Mark Sneddon says the verdict, which came seven years after the suit was launched, came when Gareth Lee tried to claim it was an issue of human rights.
““You can’t now raise issues of human rights under the European Convention of Human Rights when you’ve never raised them before at any of the three levels of courts in the UK which have dealt with this,” he told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.
“Mr Sneddon said the European Court of Human Rights “let the decision of the UK supreme court stand”.”
