“When we last left the heroes of Netflix’s Shadow and Bone, they believed that the Darkling (Ben Barnes), the powerful Shadow Summoner who created the Shadow Fold, was dead. However, as the trailer for Season 2 shows us, that is very much not the case.
“Not only is the Darkling still alive, he also has a new army of shadow creatures working at his disposal.
“With the Darkling growing in strength, Sun Summoner Alina (Jessie Mei Li) will have no choice but to take on more power of her own if she ever hopes to tear down the Fold.
“She and Mal (Archie Renaux) must track down the legendary Sea Whip and Firebird in order to amplify her sun summoning abilities.
“They’ll also need new allies, such as the charming pirate — sorry, privateer — Sturmhond (Patrick Gibson), who’s got a few secrets of his own.”
