“The “greatest love story ever sold” might not have happened if it weren’t for the early World Wide Web.
“The official trailer for the Hulu series “Pam & Tommy,” centering the infamous 1995 sex tape drama of “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, dropped Wednesday, giving viewers a closer look at how the scandal and intense media scrutiny unfolded.
“After being told that “nobody’s ever getting rich off a celebrity sex tape,” disgruntled employee Rand Gauthier, played by Seth Rogen, hatches the idea to distribute the tape online.
“”What if we sold it some place nobody could find us?” Gauthier says in a meeting with his partner in crime and porn impresario Milton Ingley, known as “Uncle Miltie,” played by Nick Offerman.”
