While plenty of people die in the Paranormal Activity series, the franchise itself just keeps rolling on and on. It’s too much of a cash cow for the studios to give up on it quite yet.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is the first of the films to forego the numbering system and use a subtitle instead. The Marked Ones should be considered something of a spin-off.
The plot continues on from the other films, but it’s a new cast of characters. The same tricks are used to scare the audience out of their skin, with handheld cameras and in-your-face moments.
