“The Oregon Supreme Court has ruled that Nicholas Kristof does not meet the residency requirement to run for governor.
“Under Oregon law, gubernatorial candidates must live in the state for a minimum of three years preceding the election.
“Kristof in a tweet called the ruling “of course, very disappointing.”
“He added: “But while I won’t be on the ballot, I’m not giving up on our State. I know we can be better.”
“Kristof addressed the media about the ruling on Thursday morning.
“”This ruling ends my campaign for governor, but I want to be clear that I’m not going anywhere,” Kristof said.”
