They say that the winners writing the history books, but there aren’t many winners who are so well known as Alexander the Great.
Alexander is back in the forefront of our minds with Macedonia having recently erected a giant bronze statue of the warrior.
This act has further inflamed a long-running row with neighboring Greece that is blocking the country’s bid for membership of the European Union and NATO.
Statue or no statue, Alexander was certainly one of the most influencing people in history, and he would no doubt find the statue in his honor a great tribute.
But what would he think of the irritations between the two countries…?
