This video shows what could very well be the worst DJ that has ever dared set foot on a stage. Pressing play on a laptop isn’t what I would call DJing.
I’ll be honest and admit I think all DJs are overrated. Obviously some more so than others, but generally speaking this “skill” is given far too much credit.
Great DJs are those that have a feel for the music and can seamlessly mix songs together. They can also scratch and make the performance better than the sum of its parts.
This DJ belongs in the other category, which houses those DJs who think all they need to do is turn up and play some songs in a row. The crowd reaction to this says it all.
