Carroll Shelby sadly died last week, at the ripe old age of 89. This is a tribute video to the former racing driver and car designer.
After starting to race cars in 1952 Shelby soon became one of the best drivers in the world. But this turned out to be just the first element of a long and illustrious career.
After retiring from racing in 1960 Shelby turned his attention to designing, inserting a Ford V-8 engine into the chassis of an existing sports car to create the Shelby Cobra, considered the first true muscle car.
This video is a tribute put together by a fan of the man and the cars he designed. It shows a series of photographs of both, and you can tell real affection has gone into it.
