From the creators of the web hit PromQueenTV comes the sequel: Summer Heat. The series is produced by Vuguru; a new outlet for Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company which holds ownership in Voeh Networks.
Last year, Prom Queen pulled in over 15 million views, Vuguru hopes that Summer Heat is equally hot.
The series picks up the summer after PromQueenTV left off. Unlike PromQueenTV, however, the episodes are about double the length; ranging anywhere from the 2 to 3 minute mark each. Additionally, viewers can watch the 11 minute long weekly recaps which combine all of the week’s webisodes into one.
The complete series is also downloadable in high quality format for $9.99 on amazon. Though, most viewers would want to see the series for free (at least to preview it) on the official Prom Queen site.
‘Summer Heat’ Episode 1
This is the first webisode of the series. Even though the production and actors are pretty good for a webseries, I couldn’t help but notice the teen drama clichés. At times, it’s almost as if you’re watching a translated cheesy Spanish soap opera.
