“Just two bakeries swept all five categories in the 8th annual King Cake Snob contest, organizers announced Wednesday.
“Susan’s Sassy Sweets, a newcomer to the competition based in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, took the title of Best Traditional King Cake and Best Freshness.
“Claudia’s King Cake, a bakery located just outside New Orleans in Harahan, won Best Filled King Cake for the 5th year in a row. Claudia’s was also won Best Presentation and Best Flavor.
““Every year, we look forward to giving Louisianans the opportunity to voice their opinions about their favorite king cakes and bakeries,” said Jay Connaughton, managing partner for Innovative Advertising which organizes the contest.”
